Ivan Rivera divides his time between his passions: fine art, in particular painting with a focus in Encaustic, graphic design and collegiate level teaching. Ivan has showed in Chelsea, the Lower East Side, Brooklyn and internationally in as far afield as Puerto Rico, Italy and Australia. When he's not painting and showing, he enjoys guiding new and emerging artists and designers having taught studio classes since 2003 at Parsons The New School for Design and Fordham. Ivan holds a BFA from Parsons the New School and a Masters in Digital Art from Brooklyn College. Ivan was born in Puerto Rico and has made New York City his home for the last 25 years.
